This was reported on the Official site of guitarist (http://www.gary-moore.com/), as well as many other official sites and blogs of musicians from over the world, including Opeth. On the Official Opeth MySpace Michael and Fredrik said that they have been listening to Gary Moore music since they were kids and called himOne of the very best hard rock lead guitar players.
